By installing TermOS or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. The Service

TermOS is a Chrome browser extension that replaces the New Tab page with a productivity workspace including task management, weather, and AI-powered advice ("Cap AI"). The service is provided by the TermOS team, reachable at hello@termos.today.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use TermOS. By using the service, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Account

• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
• You may not share your account or allow others to access it.
• Notify us immediately at hello@termos.today if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Payments & Refunds

• TermOS is offered as a one-time lifetime purchase.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. All transactions are final unless required otherwise by applicable law.
• If you experience a technical issue preventing access within 7 days of purchase, contact us for a resolution.
• We do not offer refunds beyond what is required by applicable consumer protection law.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of TermOS.
• Use the service to store or transmit malicious code.
• Abuse Cap AI to generate harmful, illegal, or misleading content.
• Attempt to circumvent subscription checks or authentication.

6. Intellectual Property

All code, design, and branding of TermOS are owned by us. Your task data belongs to you. We do not claim ownership over content you create in the extension.

7. AI Features (Cap AI)

Cap AI generates advice based on your local context (weather, time, task counts). Responses are AI-generated and for motivational purposes only — not professional, medical, legal, or financial advice. We are not liable for decisions made based on Cap AI output.

8. Availability & Changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice. We will not remove core functionality without offering a refund to lifetime purchasers.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the extension's profile panel.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

TermOS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of TermOS, including data loss.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate. Disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation before any legal proceedings.
